Chris, thank you so much for being on the show. I’m excited to have this conversation. The last time we got to meet was in 2025. You walked us through the twelve hallmarks of aging or those biological processes that cause aging. You explained them in such a way that any of us could grasp a hold of that. Thank you. Thanks for the great work you’re doing at NOVOS. I’m excited to dive into the latest and greatest clinical trials that you’ve done and hear about the exciting things that are happening. Thanks for being back with us.

It’s great to be with you. Thank you.

How NOVOS Is Reversing The Aging Process

I’m going to encourage anyone that’s reading that hasn’t read your first episode, to go back and check that out. They can learn about the twelve hallmarks of aging and some of the things happening at NOVOS. Give us a little recap and overview of what is NOVOS. What do you guys do? How do you promote that? We’ll dive into the study after.

NOVOS is a company I founded back in 2019 before longevity was a buzzword that everyone was talking about. The reason I started it was motivated by two life events. The first was, when I was a teenager and I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and almost lost my life. It gave me a very unique perspective on life, health, wellness and disease from an early age. I never wanted to be in this situation like that ever again so I started to look at long-term health and disease at a much younger age than most people do. Most people aren’t thinking about that until they’re in their 40s or 50s or 60s. I was thinking about it when I was sixteen.

The second motivator was when I was beginning to come up with the idea for the business. My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, I lost her in less than a year. I was very close to her. I wanted to build a business ultimately with the goal of reducing the suffering in this world and in life that can come from poor health and more disease. That was the impetus behind starting NOVOS.

At the time, around 2017-2018, I was doing research. I came to realize that the number one risk factor for disease, for chronic illness, is aging. It’s the aging process itself. Researchers were beginning to look into understanding why we age in the first place but then also, is there anything we can do to slow down that process or even reverse aspects of that ancient process? This is a whole field known as GeroSciences. It used to be known as biogerontology. Essentially, it’s the same thing.

That was eye-opening for me because I realized that aging is not this immutable force. It’s not something that’s like pre-programmed into us. To some degree, it is genetic but it’s a majority lifestyle and environment. Only about 20% to 30% for the vast majority of us have of our lifespan is attributable to our genetics. Seventy percent to 80% of it is based on how we’re living and where we are at the environments that we’re in.

Aging is not this immutable force. Although it is genetic to some degree, the majority of it is based on our lifestyle and environment.

With all of this information or knowledge that I was learning at that age or at that time. I decided that I wanted to create a company that was targeting these biological root causes of aging. Which you alluded to in my last interview where we talked about these twelve biological hallmarks of aging. I teamed up with top scientists from Harvard Medical School, MIT, and so on. Together with them, we created the first formulation designed to target all twelve of those hallmarks of aging. It’s called NOVOS Core.

We went on to run a number of scientific studies. Now, on top of all of that, NOVOS doesn’t simply have this one formula. We’ve got multiple other products. One is called NOVOS Boost. This is a product that increases levels of NAD, which the audience might be familiar with. It’s a popular topic on podcasts, YouTube and social media. NMN increases your NAD levels. We were one of the first sellers to bring that to the market.

Second is, we have a product called NOVOS Vital. They are daily gummies that target organs that decline as we age. That includes your brain, eyes, heart, liver, kidneys, muscle and gut. It improves digestion, metabolism, detoxification, but also things like vision. Finally, the most recent product we introduced to our product lineup is called NOVOS Bars. They’re sold out, but you can find them on Amazon and on our website.

They are, I believe, the very first longevity protein bar. They’ve got five supplements built into them, including three functional mushrooms. It’s half a serving of your daily value of vitamins. Essentially like half a multivitamin per bar. If you have two bars, you’re getting all of the required vitamins. Six to seven grams of fiber and 15 grams of protein. We thought of every detail. We made sure it’s low in certain amino acids like methionine and isoleucine.

These amino acids are shown in scientific studies, at least animal studies, to shorten lifespan. That is when you have high levels of it. When you have low levels of these amino acids, it lengthens lifespan beyond average. We made sure to have lower levels of these amino acids in the protein bar. While having enough of the amino acids that are going to, for example, build your muscles.

We were very obsessive about all of the details of this bar. We even created the flavor with the former Sous Chef of the French Laundry, a Michelin three-star restaurant in California. We wanted to make this the best part that you can find and we did all of that. It’s only $3.99 per bar. We wanted to make it something for the bull as well.

You’ve been busy. Thank you, first of all, for working so diligently to create something that is going to be good for humanity. As you said, reduce the suffering that comes with chronic disease and the aging process. Even as you’ve experienced, the loss of a loved one. It’s a passion. I love that you’re devoting yourself to this work. I love the slogan of NOVOS, “Younger For Longer.” It’s something we talked about a lot. How did you come up with the name NOVOS? What does that mean?

It was like a multi-week exercise trying to come up with the name for the business. The number of names that we wrote down and had ideas for, ultimately comes down to like, is it trademarked or is the URL available. All of these questions. We came to NOVOS because NOVOS means new in Latin. Essentially, what we’re trying to do at NOVOS is bring you back to as new of a state as you can like cellular renewal and organ renewal and just have the youngest newest version of yourself that we can.

Conducting Double-Blind Randomized Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trials

That makes a lot of sense. Let’s dive into the latest and greatest. I know you guys conducted a clinical trial. Can you walk us through how you come up with formulating the trial? What were you testing? What were some of the exciting results that you found?

Let’s start back to that whole point of the twelve hallmarks of aging. We designed NOVOS Core to target those twelve hallmarks, but why did we do that? It’s because these are the twelve biological microscopic root causes of the aging process. At least as far as we understand why we age in the first place. Our hypothesis was, if we could have a positive impact on these hallmarks then we would thereby have a positive impact on the aging process. That would mean improvements in organ function and whole-body aging over time. The upstream is the hallmarks and downstream is organ function and whole-body aging.

The question then evolves into, if we’re going to do a clinical study. We’re not a pharma company within the unlimited budget where we can do dozens of different clinical studies. As a small but growing business, we need to be very selective about what that study is going to be. Clinical studies are very expensive and we needed to make sure it was designed well to show longevity relevance results, but also be something that we felt like it was feasible that we would see positive results as well.

Fully Alive: Unlocking the secrets to your healthier, happier, longer life - Zach Gurick | Chris Mirabile | Longevity Supplement

What we decided to focus on was cardiovascular function. The first reason is that cardiovascular disease is the number one age-related disease and the number one cause of age-related death in the world. A lot of people assume it’s cancer, but it’s not about. One and a half to two times more people die from cardiovascular disease than they do from cancer. There’s a lot more attention to cancer because of how sudden it can be. That’s even to the points about when it comes to longevity.

Cardiovascular disease is something that develops over years or decades. It’s something that we can stop or we can have a real impact on. Significantly reduce the risk of it occurring and extend our health span and lifespan. We know this from, for example, lifestyle tweaks like exercise, eating a healthy diet and so on. It has been shown to be monstrously to be able to reduce the risk and extend health span and lifespan.

We know that we can have positive impacts on cardiovascular disease. We know that it takes away more people’s lives than any other disease. That’s what we started with. We wanted to work with a researcher who was very well respected and had a lot of scientific studies under his belt in this field. A lot of companies will hire what’s known as a CRO. This is a contract research organization. It’s essentially a business that will do a scientific study for you.

Let’s put it this way, it’s not at the same tier as an academic study. When you go to a university with a professor or researcher and have them do a study, versus going to a contract research organization. Academia is at a higher standard and we want a higher standard for our study. We worked with a scientist at the University of Surrey. This is in the United Kingdom. His name is Professor Christian Heiss. He’s an author on more than 200 scientific papers. He’s a Cardiologist and a practicing cardiologist, but a researcher and professor.

Together with him, we designed a study. We wanted to look at functional markers of the cardiovascular system. What do I mean by functional markers? Most scientific studies are looking at proxy markers. A proxy marker is something that is associated with or it’s correlated with organ function. It’s not a direct measurement of the actual organ function. For example, if you get a standard blood test. Most of those blood test values are proxy markers like AST and ALT or HbA1c and so on.

You’re measuring things like kidney function, liver function, blood glucose and so on but it’s not necessarily measuring directly the function of that organ. They are correlated but it’s not directly the function. I’ll give you an example of something that is directly a functional marker. One that we measured is called Flow Mediated Dilation or FMD. This is measuring endothelial function. Within our veins, within our arteries, that you have the endothelium. It essentially enables the blood vessels to dilate. We need our blood vessels to dilate. That’s for circulation.

There are times where you need more blood to flow if you’re exercising, for example. As we age, our blood vessels don’t dilate as well. They can’t dilate as much. This is a functional marker because it’s measuring the dilation of the blood vessels. It’s not correlated. It is the actual dilation. It’s a direct signal. That was the first biomarker we measured. The second biomarker we measured is called Pulse Wave Velocity.

Pulse wave velocity is the speed at which a pulse wave moves. Every time your heart beats, there’s this reverberation throughout your body. Think of it like if you drop a stone in a pond. You will see the waves coming out. It’s the same thing. Now, if you’ve got very stiff blood vessels. That wave is going to move very fast. Imagine that you drop it on like ice. The wave moves very quickly. If you drop it into something very flexible like a pond, then it’s going to move very slowly. It’s going to move outward.

Pulse wave velocity is the speed at which a pulse wave moves. Every time your heart beats, there is a reverberation throughout your body.

You want your pulse wave velocity to be as low as possible because that indicates that your blood vessels are not that stiff. They’re quite flexible. That’s the second functional marker that we measured. The third functional marker we measured is a very important one. This is blood pressure. We found effects for systolic blood pressure, which I’ll tell you about the effects for all of these pretty soon. We also measure some of these proxy biomarkers.

We did a blood panel. We looked at, for example, blood lipids and a few other markers. The study itself involved healthy adults aged 40 and older. It’s important that they are healthy adults. We’re not measuring this in a diseased population. Which is that much more difficult to achieve the results in. Typically, if someone is in a disease population, you can see improvements more easily because they’re values are so extreme to then improve them somewhat. It’s easier than someone who’s in a healthy range to improve it even further. It becomes that much more challenging. Everyone was over 40. I’m happy to tell you about the results but before I do maybe you have a specific question about it.

That all sounds great. I love that you’re doing this at the University of Surrey with the Cardiologist. It makes a lot of sense how you chose and how you structured this study and set it up. I’m excited to hear the results.

Exploring The Significant Results Of The Clinical Trials

Sixty one participants started in the study and 33 of them were getting the supplements and 28 were in the controls. I didn’t mention this but this is very important. This was a double-blind randomized placebo-controlled human clinical trial. What does that mean? Double-blind means that the researchers had no idea who was getting the placebo and who was getting the actual formulation. Not until the study was completely done and all of the data was analyzed. All of the conclusions were arrived at by unbinding the study. Everything is all done before they know who got the supplement versus the placebo.

Randomized means that we weren’t choosing people. based on certain criteria. It was a random selection of the people. Though, what we made sure to do is to make sure that the study was balanced. You don’t want to have the study where it’s “randomized” but all of the placebo group is female and all of the experiment group is male. You have some protective processes in place to make sure that there’s adequate diversity across the two groups and they’re roughly matched with each other. It was random, essentially.

Placebo-controlled means that there’s a placebo that people are getting. They’re drinking a powder that tastes like NOVOS Core, but it’s not. It’s the same flavoring and everything. I believe it was rice flour rather than the actual formulation. Human clinical trials don’t need an explanation. Nobody had any cardiovascular issues. These people are non-smokers. They’re middle-aged. I’d have to check this, but I believe the population went into their 70s. There’s a good wide range of people of all different ages. Specifically for the primary endpoint.

The primary endpoint is predefined. It’s before you run the study. We published it on ClinicalTrials.gov. It’s a government website that has all of the records of what we’re planning to do for the study. Once you set that, it’s like set in stone and then you run the study. Our primary endpoint, what we thought we would have a significant impact on was flow-mediated dilation. This was the endothelial function. Improving that by 1% is considered clinically meaningful in vascular research. A 1% improvement is very significant.

We improve this by 2.9%, which is almost triple of what is considered clinically meaningful. They give you some like relative comparisons. My team of scientists dug into all of the research in healthy populations looking at all different interventions that have been shown to improve FMD. There’s not that many but I would estimate probably like 14 or 15 different interventions that have. We have outperformed practically every intervention out there when it comes to FMD.

That includes a study of resistance training. That’s weightlifting. We outperformed blueberries, coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10, which a lot of people take for heart health. Nitric oxide boosters which a lot of people again take for heart health. Folic acid and resveratrol, which is a popular longevity supplement. That got a 1.4 compared to our 2.9, so less than half as effective.

The Mediterranean diet, which is a heart healthy diet. It’s arguably the healthiest diet that you can follow. That improved it by 1.3 versus our 2.9. Aerobic exercise is 1.2. Cocoa, which is known to be very good for heart health, improved it by 1.2. Even severe weight loss was a 1.1. We were a 2.9 and Omega-3s were a 1.0 and we were a 2.9. Very significant improvements in FMD.

Congratulations on that.

Thank you. All of these numbers like 2.9% versus placebo. This is on top of placebo. As we know, the reason we have a placebo control in the first place is that you could psychologically potentially improve results just by thinking you’re getting something. This is the spread between the placebo versus us. That’s the primary endpoint.

The secondary endpoints include the things that I mentioned. For example, arterial flexibility. This is the pulse wave velocity that we were speaking about moments ago. We improve this by 1.2 meters per second. We slowed it down, which is a good thing, by 1.2 meters per second. To set context for that, the host wave velocity usually speeds up by 1 meter per second per decade. Every ten years, you’re increasing it by about 1 meter per second. We reduce it by 1.2 meters per second.

That’s like getting twelve years of your arterial flexibility back.

In a sense, that’s what it implies. We can’t directly state that for legal reasons. Essentially, that’s like an implication that we could then study and compare it to. To that point, there are very few interventions that have ever improved pulse wave velocity that have been studied and found to improve it. As I mentioned, we improved it by 1.2. Magnesium can improve it by 1.0, at least the study of magnesium. A study of Omega-3 was approximately 0.9 and severe weight loss 0.8. High intensity interval training, which is one of the healthiest exercises you can do, improves it by 0.63. It’s a little bit over half as effective as we were.

Beet root and nitrates, so a lot of supplements out there like beets or beet powder or beet gummies and things like that was 0.6. That was half as effective. Aerobic exercise, again round up to about 0.6. It’s about half as effective. Vitamin K2 was, I believe, 0.35. We were multiple orders of magnitude greater than that. Finally, systolic blood pressure. This was the other big one. Systolic blood pressure is very important.

It’s also a very touchy subject for the FDA. I have to be careful what I say about it. I have to emphasize that this is an improvement for people who were already within the normal range. This is not for a hypertensive population. This is for a normal attentive population. People who have normal blood pressure. People were in the ballpark of around 128 millimeters of mercury for their systolic. After taking NOVOS Core for six months, their systolic blood pressure dropped down by 6.1 millimeters of mercury on average versus the placebo, which is very significant.

A 2 millimeter of mercury improvement in systolic blood pressure is considered clinically meaningful. We essentially tripled what is considered to be a meaningful improvement in systolic blood pressure. When you consider interventions that can improve systolic blood pressure. There’s a lot more studies for systolic because it’s such an easy test and many studies include it. We outperformed with our 6.1 cocoa which got 4.5 or Beet Root which got 4.4, high intensity interval training again 3.9. The DASH diet, which is literally a heart health diet, was at 3.9.

Dietary sodium reduction, so reducing the sodium in your diet, which we know is always recommended to improve blood pressure was 2.4 and we were 6.1. Even increasing potassium. Supplementing with potassium, which we also can improve blood pressure. That was a 2.15 and we were a 6.1. Those are a few examples. I have listed all of these out on the website. It’s Learn.NovosLabs.com/Cardiovascular. If you go to that page, you can see all of these results. There’s an explanation for them and you can dig in.

That is amazing. Congrats on all of the great work. Did you anticipate this when you put NOVOS Core together? Did you ever think that it would have this profound of an effect?

Honestly, no. We believe that our formula could have a positive effect on the aging process. When it comes to clinical studies, the aging process is such a long drawn-out process. It literally lasts our entire lives. When you’re running a six-month study, there’s a significant chance that you’re going to have a lot of noise and not that much signal if you will. We went into this study hopeful but we were hopeful that we might have a moderate improvement in one of these three biomarkers, for example.

We didn’t have a moderate improvement. We have one of the greatest improvements ever achieved in a healthy population across all three of these biomarkers. The statistical significance, which is a measure that’s very important to make sure your improvements are so significant. It’s not something that’s explainable just by pure chance or luck. It’s something that there’s an incredibly low chance that it’s luck. Our statistical significance is very strong for each one of these. I believe it’s like 0.001. To be statistically significant in the scientific community, you need to be point 0.05, so 0.001 is far more significant than the standard is to declare statistical significance.

Natural Ingredients Of The NOVOS Core Powder Formulation

I appreciate the rigor with which you put this altogether, measured and studied. It’s rare. In a lot of supplement companies, they just put a formulation together and throw it out there. Slap some marketing on it. Maybe it does good or maybe it doesn’t, but you have real proof that this is very statistically significant and is making a difference. That’s amazing. I wanted to clarify a couple things. Everything that’s in the NOVOS Core powder formulation is all natural ingredients. Can you tell us a little bit about that for people that are wondering?

Fully Alive: Unlocking the secrets to your healthier, happier, longer life - Zach Gurick | Chris Mirabile | Longevity Supplement

It’s twelve ingredients. It’s a deli drink mix because there would be too many pills. Most people don’t want to take a whole handful of pills. It’s a very good tasting orange flavor or passion fruit flavor drink. We also have an unflavored version that doesn’t have any sweeteners in it. The orange and the passion fruit used Stevia and zero calories. In fact, Stevia has some potential health benefits, including antioxidant function. Some people don’t like to taste the Stevia or they don’t want the sweetness.

The unflavored has a raw herbal taste to it. We suggest that people mix it into a smoothie or into a flavored yogurt to mask that flavor. All of the ingredients are natural. There’s twelve all at the clinical efficacious dosages for each of those ingredients. We’re not just putting ingredients in to be able to say we contain something. It’s the full dosage. Everything is natural. It’s either found in human biology but the clients with age. For example, hyaluronic acid is something that audiences are probably familiar with from skin creams and serums.

Our body produces hyaluronic acid. It’s in our skin. It’s in our dermis. It lubricates our joints and so on. Our levels of it start to decline in our twenties. This is something that when you ingest it orally, it can increase the hyaluronic acid within your skin, which can improve skin help. It also can lubricate joints and so on. That’s something found in human biology. You’ve also got ingredients like, say, pterostilbene that is found in blueberries.

You wouldn’t get a high enough dose from simply eating blueberries. You would need to have barrels of blueberries every day. Fisetin is another one. It’s found in strawberries but you would need to be eating pounds of strawberries every day. We got everything from nature but at dosages that have a favorable impact on human health.

For the study itself, you mentioned six months. People are taking the ones that were receiving the actual supplement. We’ve been taking that powder every day for six months. Was it measured before and then six months or was it six months after that? Are the results durable?

Yes, they are durable. There’s three time points. There was before the intervention then there was one hour to see if there’s any short-term acute effects. We found that by flow-mediated dilation, the endothelial function improved immediately. The other two, the pulse wave velocity and this systolic blood pressure did not improve immediately. At six months, it was measured again but this was fasted.

That means that the patients didn’t take our product for approximately 24 hours, which is important because it shows that, first of all, a tolerance did not develop. The benefits that we saw for the FMD and the one-hour mark were maintained at six months. Two, you didn’t need to have it immediately. It’s not something that you take, it works for an hour and then it’s out of your system and it doesn’t work anymore. This was 24 hours later. It was still working. We found improvements in the blood vessel flexibility and the systolic blood pressure at that six-month mark.

Another thing I’m just thinking about, too. As you mentioned, this was in healthy adults over 40 up until they’re 70. I imagine if someone is struggling with some of the cardiovascular issues or has a poor endothelial function or things of that nature. The improvements would probably be even greater than what you’ve reported. You can’t say that, but I imagine that would be the implication.

You could say it. I just can’t say it. Hypothetically, that’s like sound reasoning but we can’t conclude anything without having studied it. We also can’t make any claims about impacting the risk of disease or treating disease and so on. This is not a product for a disease population. I would say that if someone is in that position to talk to their doctor and decide for them on an individual basis, they want to try the product and measure. Decide for themselves if it’s working for them.

I’m assuming there were no adverse effects. Correct?

There’s a very small portion of the population who take our product who have a little bit of mild stomach discomfort. We’re talking about maybe 1% to 2% of the population. This is possibly due to some erythritol in our orange formula. It was in the study formula. It had the urethral. We’ve since removed that. The concerns about stomach discomfort have abated. There’s an extremely low percentage of people reporting any side effects.

It’s important to note that even when people have placebo or they drink Coca-Cola or they have chewing gum. There’s always a percentage of people who say they have a side effect. Some of it could be psychological. Some of it can be real, but there’s no perfect substance with 0% side effects but ours is very close to 0%.

Benefits Of The NOVOS Diet

You mentioned a lot of different modalities or treatments or therapies that also affect these same types of outcomes. Your product outperformed all of those. What if you stack those things together? I know you guys promote the NOVOS Diet, which is a Mediterranean diet. What if you stack that with taking the core and putting all these together? Is it okay to reason that they would have a greater effect or impact?

It’s important for me to emphasize that when I share how NOVOS Core outperformed all of these interventions. That is for these specific cardiovascular markers. I’m never going to claim that NOVOS Core is better for your muscles than high intensity interval training or weightlifting. Our bodies are complex and there’s a lot of things happening. A lot of biological functions. There’s different interventions that can have different positive effects on us or negative effects.

I would encourage people to try to stack things like stack lifestyle improvements. Make sure you              take care of your sleep, your stress levels, your diet, your activity, your relaxation and so on. Do all of that. Make sure you get all of the essential nutrients in your diet. I mentioned earlier the NOVOS Bars have half of a multivitamin per bar. If you’re not taking those, get a solid multivitamin in your routine like Life Extension brands, Pure Encapsulations, and Thorne all make solid multivitamins. Consider getting one of those into your routine.

We outperform fish oil, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have fish oil in your diet. Either salmon 2 to 3 days a week or sardines and so on or get high-quality fish oil. People should be incorporating a lot of these things. Now, where I would say there’s an exception is if you are taking a supplement specifically to improve endothelial function or these nitric oxide boosters, which people are taking for their heart health and so on. I would say that you don’t necessarily need to take one of those anymore. You don’t need to stack that with NOVOS Core. NOVOS Core has outperformed them significantly. I would say take NOVOS Core instead in a case like that. Still exercise, eat a Mediterranean diet, sleep well and so on.

Try to stack things like lifestyle improvement. Take care of your sleep, stress levels, activity, and relaxation. Make sure you get all of the essential nutrients in your diet.

I see your activity on Instagram, the things that you personally do and what NOVOS is promoting. Obviously, you practice what you preach and I see your workouts. You are living the lifestyle that you promote as well. I’m imagining you take all of your own products, but do you take other things as well? What do you personally recommend based on your own journey?

I do experiment a fair amount. I can tell you what the foundation of my routine is that I’m always maintaining. I experiment a little bit largely because of my business and my blog. I want to experience and see what else is out there and how my body reacts to it. The foundation is definitely a high-quality multivitamin. Make sure that it has a strong B complex in it with methylated B vitamins. If it doesn’t, then get separate pills specifically for methylated B vitamins.

Make sure that you get enough of what’s called methyl donors in your diet. That can come from foods like spinach and egg yolks. It can also come from a supplement known as Trimethylglycine or TMG. Also known as betaine. A few names for this substance. I take one pill of the TMG and one high quality multi with the methylated B vitamins. That does a lot for me in terms of energy, focus, cognition, and so on. I eat salmon but I also supplement with the fish oil pill every day.

I get vitamin D3 and K2 because the multivitamin doesn’t provide enough of it. I take that on top of it. I used to take magnesium, but NOVOS Core has enough magnesium in it where I don’t need to anymore. That’s pretty much it. If you want a simple standard healthy supplement routine that doesn’t go over the top. It’s a high quality multi, vitamin D3 plus K2 and fish oil. If you want that longevity edge, throw NOVOS Core on top. The TMG is optional, I’d say in that case. Try it. See if it works for you. If you notice a difference in your energy and cognition, stick with it. If you don’t, then you can arguably take it out of your routine.

Do you take your NOVOS Boost as well?

I do. There’s one supplement I did forget. I do take creatine. I’ve been taking creatine since I’m like 14 or 15 years old. I’ve been taking them my whole life. It doesn’t cause hair loss. I still have a full head of hair as people have rumored based on one flawed study. People come to that conclusion. Creatine is great not just for muscle but also your heart is a muscle. It’s good for your brain and so on. Creatine is great especially if someone is a vegetarian or vegan. They’re probably not getting enough from their diet.

I take NOVOS Boost in the morning. I take four pills of NOVOS Boost to get 500 milligrams of NMN and then NOVOS Vital. I have it with a meal. It can help to digest that meal as well because of the apple cider vinegar in it. I also will have NOVOS Bars. Sometimes I have more than I’m supposed to. If I don’t cook and it’s too late to order food or whatever. I might have 1 or 2 extra. It’s typically what we’re recommending to people, 1 to 2 bars a day. If you have one, it’s like a snack. If you have two, you’re getting the full daily value of a multivitamin minus vitamin D3 and K2. You would still need to supplement that.

You’re getting enough for essentially a meal, 30 grams of protein and enough post-workout and so on. I’m always getting those two bars at the beginning of the day. Sometimes I end up having one or two as a sweet treat at night or as I said, I didn’t cook or I’m still hungry before going to bed. A couple hours before bed, I’ll have another one or two of them. It’s a little more than I’m supposed to have, but I love them.

Speaking At A Longevity Show In London

You’re becoming a thought leader in this space. I know you’re speaking at the longevity show in London coming up on June of 26, 2026. How’s that side of things going for you? What are you learning from that?

It’s great to be speaking at that event in London in mid-June. I’ll be speaking at the Wellist Conference in Miami. It’s the first year. It’s a great event. It’s a full week long. They’re trying to make it like Art Basel but for health. That I’m excited for. Weeks ago, I was in California speaking at Stanford University at the Consumer Health Symposium, which was great. It had executives and founders from companies like function health, high rocks and you name it. The hottest brands in health and wellness in the US. That was a great event.

I spoke at Harvard University at the Business School. I’m getting out there between the academic side to the more longevity biotech side to even some more business-centric events as well. It’s a wide range of topics that we cover, but there’s a lot of excitement about longevity. There’s good reason to be excited about it. At the same time, there’s a lot of snake oil entering the market. As you can imagine, whenever someone smells opportunity, everyone wants to rush in and get involved. There are some but very few companies that are doing it like the scientifically legitimate approach.

We’re trying to lead that effort on both the formulation side, which we’ve been focused on for this conversation but also even on the technology side. We have an app that is called NOVOS Life. It’s in beta but it’s coming out of beta very soon. You can find it on the App Store even though it’s in beta. It’s in Android and iOS. It incorporates wearables like the Oura, the WHOOP wrist band and Apple watch. It’s got an AI layer sitting on top. It gives you personalized recommendations through the lens of longevity research.

We all know that like GPT, it can give you health advice or Gemini and Claude, like all of these AI. It can give you advice. What’s different about our AI is that it’s been trained on longevity guidance. Both scientific studies but also scientific insights from scientists and doctors in this community. It’s going to give you more nuanced feedback through the lens of how we can extend health span and lifespan as much as possible rather than more short-term thinking or general wellness guidance.

It’s also got a free biological age clock in it. It’s a peer reviewed biological age that’s based on a survey that’s more accurate than many of the blood tests. For example, the Horvath clock, which is the first epigenetic biological age clock. This is more accurate than that and this is completely free. We have something called Face Age, which is a viral tool that we had created. You take a selfie and it tells you how young you look and how your eyes age as well.

Face Age is a viral tool where you can take a selfie and determine how young you look.

The Wall Street Journal featured this tool that we created. More than 500,000 people have taken it or use this tool. That’s also integrated into the app as well. We have new features coming out in the months to come. Eventually, we might charge for some of the features but for now, it’s completely free. If someone wants to give it a try, just sign up and try it out.

Get In Touch With Chris And NOVOS

I’m going to try it out myself, too. I have done the face age but I haven’t tried the new biological age clock on there. I’ll check that out, too. Chris, I know we’re at the end of our time here. People can find you at NovosLabs.com. Is that correct?

Yes. All of the products that we talked about are at NovosLabs.com. Learn.NovosLabs.com has a lot of scientific research beyond just what we talked about with the clinical trial. We had other studies prior to this that they can find out about there. Learn.NovosLabs.com/Cardiovascular is where they can dig into the study that we talked about. SlowMyAge.com is my personal blog and I’m on social media, especially on Instagram, but also on TikTok and on YouTube as @SlowMyAge.

This is fascinating. I’m so grateful for you to share this with our community here. Thanks for taking your time but thank you more importantly for the important work that you’re doing and the scientific rigor that you’re bringing to this space. As you mentioned, you’re trying to lead the way. You’re not just putting something together and hope it works. You’re proving that it does and making a difference for people. I’m excited for what’s to come. I’m excited that you are at this point. Thank you so much for doing what you’re doing.

Thank you. I appreciate it. It was great to talk to you again.

Once again, I encourage people to check out our first episode as well so you can dive into the twelve hallmarks of aging that way. Thanks so much, Chris and thanks for being with us.

You, too. Thank you, Zach.

I hope you enjoy that conversation with Chris as much as I did. I loved hearing about the science, the background and the data behind his product NOVOS Core that they’ve created and had some great success and luck with. Now, there’s actual clinical proof to show that this is making a difference and can make a difference. If you’re someone that is looking for that extra edge and wants to give it a try.

You can check it out. You can do your own research and I encourage you to dive into that. Learn.NovosLabs.com/Cardiovascular is where you can find all the research that we discussed in more detail. I appreciate that they have that available. You can go look up the clinical trial at ClinicalTrials.gov as well if you want to dig into this little bit more. NovosLabs.com or SlowMyAge.com is Chris’s blog.

I encourage you to check out some of his stuff on social media as well. He’s always posting his workouts, other tips, longevity and lifestyle tips on there as well that are helpful. I’m grateful to have him back on the show and to continue to learn from him. I hope you have an amazing day. Thanks so much for tuning in on the show. Until next time.
