THE VILLAGE CHURCH AT SHELL POINT ANNOUNCES WORLD FOCUS WEEKEND

FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 10, 2011) –  The Village Church at Shell Point Retirement Community has announced the speaker for its annual fall event, the World Focus Weekend. This year, the speaker will be Stuart McAllister, who serves as a key member with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. The event will be held on November 4 – 6, and is entitled “Global Perspectives for the 21st Century.” The times and topics are as follows:
 “Understanding Our World Today: Cultures and Worldviews”
Friday ~ 7:15 pm
“Our Engagement: The Call and Challenge”
Sunday ~ 10:15 am

“Identifying Barriers and Building Bridges”
Sunday ~ 6:15 pm

 

“This event is designed to encourage participants to develop a global perspective and a passion for what God is doing in other areas of the world,” said Pastor Randy Woods, minister of worship and music for The Village Church. “Our World Focus Weekend is an important fall event for us and we are expecting a great turn out due to the popularity of this year’s speaker. Each year, we try to choose topics and speakers that will captivate our audience.”

Anderson is passionate about helping others as they seek to enter the job market and serves on the board of Dress for Success, where she educates HR professionals about ways the program can benefit their organizations and their employees. She also serves on the Employer Advisory Board for Southwest Florida Works – the state government agency responsible for developing work skills for the unemployed and underemployed, participates in an annual resume coaching event in the community, and serves as an “employer expert” regarding the human resource needs of organizations in the area to ensure they are included in transit planning.

The Village Church at Shell Point is a ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and serves a congregation of more than 600. The Village Church is located near the entrance to the Island at Shell Point and seats 1,000 people.
