The Academy of Lifelong Learning welcomes Professor Adrian Kerr for “The Story of Pakistan and Afghanistan” on Tuesday, May 6 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Cypress Room of The Woodlands at Shell Point Retirement Community.
Professor Kerr will lead the group through the history and colorful cultures of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Although they are often overshadowed by their neighbors – the giant India to their south, and Iran to their north – Pakistan and Afghanistan remain two of the most enigmatic countries that have emerged into high profile as a result of the post-9/11 conflicts in the Middle East. Tickets for this class are $10 each and can be purchased by calling (239) 489-8472. Seating is limited, and reservations are required.
