CUTLINE: Shell Point Retirement Community continues its 2018 Summer Concert Series with a performance from the Wild Coffee Duo at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 21, 2018) – Shell Point Retirement Community’s 2018 Summer Concert Series will welcome a performance by Wild Coffee Duo at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, in the Grand Cypress Room at The Woodlands at Shell Point, 14441 Woodsong Lane, Fort Myers. The event is open to the public, with tickets available for $20 online at www.shellpoint.org/concerts or by phone at 239-454-2067.
Wild Coffee Duo will perform “Back in Time: A Musical Retrospective of a Century Ago.” With the end of World War I and the birth of Leonard Bernstein in 1918, audiences will celebrate music from this milestone year, including popular songs such as “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows” and selections from “West Side Story.”
The Sanibel-based Wild Coffee Duo was formed in 2015 by pianist Abbey Allison and cellist Susie Kelly. The classically trained music group presents an engaging repertoire that draws on a variety of musical styles, and the versatile pair is dedicated to presenting chamber music to audiences in Southwest Florida.
