“We are looking forward to having the Sanibel Big Arts Community Band here because so many of our residents enjoy this group,” said Melody Desilets, program coordinator for Shell Point Retirement Community. “Shell Point is so close to Sanibel Island, and quite a few of our residents called Sanibel home prior to their move to Shell Point. The relationship between Sanibel and Shell Point residents is very strong, and this performance will offer both residents the chance to mix and mingle while enjoying superb entertainment.”
The Sanibel Big Arts Community Band consists of 35 musicians and instruments that range from flutes, drums, saxophone, clarinets, and tubas. They specialize in show tunes, as well as marches and patriotic tunes. Members of this talented group are from Sanibel, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers, including three of Shell Point’s own residents.
This event is free, however tickets are required. To reserve your tickets, or receive additional information about this concert, please call (239) 454-2054.
