Jessica Clark and Rochelle Cherniawski Join Staff as Communications Specialists
FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 26, 2007) – Jessica Clark and Rochelle Cherniawski have joined the staff of the marketing and communications department at Shell Point Retirement Community according to Lynn Schneider, APR, CPRC; assistant vice president of marketing and communications for Shell Point.
“Shell Point utilizes a variety of public relations and communications initiatives as part of its on-going marketing program,” said Schneider. Among these initiatives are a monthly four-color magazine called Shell Point Life and a daily 30-minute television program called Shell Point Today, which is broadcast on the community’s internal closed circuit television channel. Additionally, the community holds a number of special events each month which includes sales events that are open to the public as well as internal events that are for Shell Point residents and their guests.
“Shell Point has grown dramatically over the past decade resulting in the expansion of the marketing department and the need for additional professionals in each of the areas,” said Schneider. “We have been very fortunate to build a talented team of individuals and the experience that Jessica and Rochelle bring to the marketing team will enhance the services that we provide to the organization and the residents it serves.”
Jessica Clark received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Speech Communications in 2001 from Valdosta State University in Georgia. Clark has a background in special events and public relations and worked for almost four years at the United Way of Lee County. Her responsibilities at Shell Point will include handling all media relations and coordinating special events such as the community’s annual open house; the annual spring fashion show; and the annual golf tournament.
Rochelle Cherniawski received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Advertising in 2004 from Michigan State University. Prior to joining Shell Point, she worked as an account executive for Campbell-Ewald Advertising, in Detroit, Michigan, where she oversaw the marketing efforts for the direct mail division of the United Stated Postal Service. Cherniawski will serve as assistant editor of Shell Point Life magazine and will be responsible for the coordination of content in the monthly publication. She will also be a producer for Shell Point Today on television (SPTV-Channel 11) and will serve as one of three on-air hosts. Among her other responsibilities she will handle scheduling and conducting interviews for the television show and monthly magazine, writing articles and scripts, and on-camera anchoring.
