Golf Tournament Raises Money for Hospice

FORT MYERS – It was a shotgun start to a fun-filled morning at the first annual Shell Point Open golf tournament that took place on Saturday, March 29. More than 120 participants “scrambled” to their holes to try to win prizes such as $15,000 in cash, golf clubs, or a trip for two to anywhere in the United States.

The 2003 Shell Point Open, sponsored by The Legacy Foundation and Bank of America, raised over $11,000 to benefit Hope Hospice at Shell Point, enhancing the quality services of our hospice program for the benefit of all patients in need of this service.

The golf tournament was a huge success due to all of our generous sponsors who contributed to this worthy program. Our title sponsor, Bank of America, got the ball rolling with a contribution of $5,000.
