Shell Point Retirement Community kicks off its 2013-2014 Concerts & Conversations Series with Ars Nova String Trio on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.
Jennifer Kozbial, violin, John T. Posadas, viola, and Adam Satinsky, cello, met while performing together as leading members of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. By forming Ars Nova String Trio, they have established themselves as an important presence in the chamber music world as vivid interpreters of the classics of the repertoire, advocates for new music, and dedicated teachers and mentors to a generation of young musicians.
The trio combines the talents of three chamber musicians from very diverse backgrounds. As graduates of some of the world’s leading music schools, including the Cleveland Institute of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, Indiana University, the Peabody Institute of Music, the Eastman School of Music and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, they have performed in many of the greatest venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Severance Hall, as well as international halls in Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Japan. The Concerts & Conversations Series offers classical music lovers an opportunity to experience concerts in an intimate setting and enjoy a dessert reception with the musicians following the performance. Series tickets include four concerts for $80, for a $20 savings, or individual tickets are available for $25 each. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. in The Grand Cypress Room of The Woodlands at Shell Point.
