Shell Point Retirement Community, the largest single-site continuing care retirement community in Florida, has announced the promotion of Scott Moore to the position of chief operating officer (COO).
An employee of Shell Point since 2005, Moore will oversee all aspects of operations in this new role, including supervision of the organization’s comprehensive healthcare, resort-style amenities, recreational facilities, and a host of supportive services that provide maintenance-free living for Shell Point residents.
“Scott’s proven ability to successfully manage operations has been an invaluable asset at Shell Point, and he has provided significant leadership in the past two years as vice president of Operations,” said President Peter Dys. “This recent promotion to chief operating officer is indicative of Shell Point’s continued growth and financial strength, as it sets goals for future development and expansion.”
Moore brings more than 25 years’ experience in operations and the healthcare industry to his role, having previously worked at RDG Planning and Design, where he managed projects totaling $163 million and gained specialized experience in architecture and construction.
