FORT MYERS, Fla. ( October 18, 2016)
Golfers are ready to hit the links for a good cause in the 13th annual Shell Point Open Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, Nov. 11. Registration begins at 7 a.m. at The Club at Shell Point.
Presented by The Legacy Foundation at Shell Point, along with co-title sponsors Wright Construction Group and FineMark National Bank & Trust, proceeds from the event will benefit those who receive hospice care at the Larsen Pavilion.
In honor of Veterans Day, a continental breakfast and patriotic festivities will kick off this scramble-style tournament. Golfers will vie for a chance to win big hole-in-one prizes, followed by a catered luncheon with raffle prizes, swag bags, and promotional giveaways.

“Not only is the course in great shape, but for the first time, Shell Point’s newly completed clubhouse will offer golfers an elevated, enjoyable experience with professional service. We expect a great turnout and beautiful fall weather,” said Gary Keating, golf course manager.
Additional support for the tournament is provided by diamond sponsor Service Painting of Florida, and corporate sponsors: Solomon & Hoover, CPA, PLLC; Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral Homes & Cremation Services; J.A. Uniforms, Inc.; RDG Architects; and B.C. Ziegler & Company.
Shell Point’s 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course offers a 300-yard grass driving range, short-game area, and practice green, lessons coordinated by PGA pro Gary Keating, and a fully stocked pro shop and snack bar. Brimming with sports, wellness, and fitness opportunities, The Club at Shell Point provides an exceptional country club experience in a refined, classic setting.
