The Academy of Lifelong Learning at Shell Point Retirement Community welcomes The League of Women Voters of Lee County to present a local Candidate Forum at Shell Point on Thursday, October 4, at 7pm. This forum is open to the public and will take place at the Village Church Auditorium on The Island at Shell Point. For questions related to this event, please call (239) 489-8472.
From 7:00pm until 8:30pm, the forum will take place for the offices of District 19 – Congressional, District 30 – Florida Senate, and District 3 – County Commission. Following the official forum attendees will have the opportunity to ‘Meet and Greet’ with the candidates from 8:30pm until 9:00pm.
The forum will follow the basic presentation guidelines put in place by the League of Women Voters. Candidates will make opening presentations regarding their platforms, and then respond to questions that will be posed by the league moderator. All attendees are encouraged to come with questions, which can be turned in for the moderator as you enter the auditorium.
