FORT MYERS, Fla. ( December 30 , 2013)
Alliance Community for Retirement Living will open its doors for an Open House on Thursday, January 16, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
“Alliance Community is such a unique place to live, with diverse services and amenities,” said Earl Mallory, director of sales and marketing for the community. “The Open House is a perfect way for senior adults to tour the community and see the lifestyle it offers.”
Independent living is enjoyed in 113 apartments, single family homes, and duplexes on 25 acres of property located in south DeLand. The Open House will encompass all three styles of independent residences – garden apartments, duplexes, and single family homes. Plus, the community’s new assisted living facility, The Groves will be open for tours, and the skilled nursing center will also be available. Golf carts will provide transportation along the tree-lined streets of the 25-acre campus to all events and locations throughout the community, where visitors will be able to tour two decorated models, the community center, dining room, country store, craft areas, library, hair salon, chapel, and more. There will also be free refreshments, live entertainment, and door prizes.
Staff members will be on hand to answer specific questions, while others will present seminars explaining the lifecare model for retirement. There will be question-and-answer sessions following each presentation.
“Visitors will receive a printed map and schedule of events when they arrive so they can determine which activities, tours, and presentations best suit their personal interests,” said Mallory. “We look forward to welcoming guests to this event that showcases everything Alliance Community has to offer for gracious retirement living.”
Alliance Community is a non-profit lifecare community that provides independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing on-site through a continuum of quality residential services that provide peace of mind and allow seniors to age-in-place with the assurance of knowing their needs will be provided for at every stage of life.
Earlier this month, the community completed construction on The Groves, a 14-unit assisted living facility with private suites designed to create a home-like atmosphere while providing services and amenities to help residents maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. In addition to the private suites, the 11,348-square foot building includes a gracious dining area, plus gathering spaces for resident activities such as classes, arts and crafts, and social activities. Residents of The Groves will also have access to all the amenities throughout the entire lifecare community.
The Alliance Community for Retirement Living, a not-for-profit ministry located at 600 S. Florida Avenue in DeLand, Florida, has been faithfully serving senior adults since 1954.
