FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 27, 2017) – Shell Point will continue its 2017 Summer Concert Series with an engaging performance from Wild Coffee Duo on Thursday, Sept. 7. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Social Center on The Island.
Wild Coffee Duo formed in 2015 by pianist Abbey Allison and cellist Susie Kelly. This classically trained music group will present an engaging repertoire that draws on a variety of musical styles. The versatile pair is dedicated to presenting chamber music to audiences in Southwest Florida.
Pianist Abbey Allison holds a dual degree in piano performance and string education from Ithaca College. She has worked with both student and professional musicians, ranging from national competition winners and contemporary music specialists to performers on live radio.
Cellist Susie Kelly is a member of the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra and Southwest Florida Symphony, where she served as principal cellist for seven years. Kelly received a bachelor’s degree in cello performance and master’s in chamber music from the University of South Florida.
The duo will bring a traditional sound and intonation, combined with Parisian flare, to the Shell Point stage. Tickets for Wild Coffee Duo are now available for $20 each and can be purchased online at www.shellpoint.org/concerts or by calling (239) 454-2067.
