(October 21, 2010) – Shell Point Retirement Community’s ninth annual Fine and Performing Arts Concert Series Schedule is set to begin on Tuesday, November 9, with The International Chamber Soloists. All the performances in this series will take place in the Village Church Auditorium on The Island at Shell Point, and the performers for this concert series include:

The International Chamber Soloists – Tuesday, November 9, 2010
The International Chamber Soloists features a unique group of extraordinary young string players from all over the world. There are musicians from Russia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Latvia, Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, and the United States. It all started in the United States, when prominent violinist Dmitri Berlinsky moved from Russia to New York as a winner of Young Concert Artists and several international competitions. While performing as soloists for major orchestras in U.S., Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia he had a dream to establish a chamber orchestra of exceptional talented musicians. He did just that, and today The International Chamber Soloists are a great international success.

Since it’s founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, the Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. The Dallas Brass repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, Swing, Broadway, Hollywood and patriotic music. In addition to their solo performance, the Dallas Brass likes to inspire our youth, and have invited the Cypress Lake School for the Arts to perform with them in this concert extravaganza. The Four Freshmen will take us back to the good old school days with a vocal harmony like no other, with their four part harmony, a twist of elegance, a splash of swing and a whole lot of fun.
