Shell Point presents INSIGHTS speakers symposium
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Feb. 14, 2024) – Shell Point’s Academy of Lifelong Learning presents the INSIGHTS Speakers Symposium on Friday, March 1 at Tribby Arts Center, where a trio of dynamic speakers will share enlightening perspectives on topics ranging from history, to psychology, to music.
“The Mind of Abraham Lincoln” at 9 a.m. with Lou Masur, a Distinguished Professor of American Studies and History at Rutgers University and an elected member of the American Antiquarian Society, the Massachusetts Historical Society, and the Society of American Historians.
“The Power of Mindset: How it Can Affect your Health, Aging, and Happiness” at 10 a.m. with Catherine Sanderson, Chair of the Psychology Department at Amherst College and author of several articles and books, including “Why We Act: Turing Bystanders into Moral Rebels.”
“Memorable Musicals That Changed Broadway” at 1 p.m. with Sean Hartley, Director of the Theater Wing at the Kaufman Music Center in New York.
