While the rest of the nation may still be experiencing cool spring temperatures, April usually brings a temperature increase into the 80s in Southwest Florida. As spring training continues and festivals dot the Florida coastline, here are a few tips to beat the heat while still enjoying the great outdoors:
- Limit sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
- Make sure that sunglasses block both UV-A and UV-B rays.
- Wear a wide-brimmed hat.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
